Hi! I'm Liz

If you know me, you know I'm Midwest-born and raised, always up for a good audiobook and/or nap, and I've never met a stranger (much to the chagrin of my less extroverted husband).

I have two really awesome kids - Penelope (11) and Theo (9) - and one equally awesome husband, Todd (40), who's been at my side for 20 years now. We met before cell phones even HAD cameras, if you can believe that.

I cry at weddings and concerts and TikToks and honestly just... a lot of things? I'm deeply sentimental, which probably has something to do with my collection of family photographs that stretches all the way back to the 1800s. Photography runs deep in my family, so I guess I always knew I'd end up doing this for a living.

The big pause

Students wearing blue hoodies sit together in a classroom working on an activity.

In 2022, Penelope was diagnosed with leukemia and our world completely stopped. I put work on pause to take care of her full-time for 836 days of treatment. She's currently in remission (!!!), and coming back to photography feels like coming home.

That experience changed everything about how I see my work. These photos we're creating together? They matter so much more than I ever understood before.

What i do

I shoot families, weddings, and growing families in a way that's relaxed, honest, and fun. No awkward poses, no forcing anything that doesn't feel like you. Just real life, real love, real moments.
